The LGBTQ Center is Northern Indiana's only Center dedicated to the promotion of LGBTQ+ experiences and inclusivity.  Our purpose is to see a community where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered.

H.R. comes to South Bend from Indianapolis where he most recently was the Director of Marketing and Engagement for the Indiana Youth Group, a community center for LGBTQ youth. For two years he was the Festival Director for the Indianapolis Pride Festival and six years as the Parade Director for the Pride Parade.

H.R. brings many years of volunteer and work experience in nonprofit and the LGBTQ community including Indiana Repertory Theatre, The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis, the Indiana AIDS Fund, Indy Pride, Pride of Indy Bands, and the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus.

H.R. grew up in Tipton, IN and attended Butler University, where he studied Music Composition. He is an avid musician and loves playing and singing whenever the opportunity arises. He also enjoys cooking, biking, traveling, and spending time with his dog Arvo.
