Panel Discussion-Room At the Table: Cultivating Community in Religious Diversity LIMITED

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Join us for this intentional conversation and challenge to creating spaces of welcome and growth when religious diversity exists.  Participants will share in examples from current climate and culture that engage our panel and audience in identifying barriers, personal steps and blind spots that can exist and hinder effective and intentional community cultivation.

Panel Discussion Questions
  1.  At what point does one's own faith identity or religious expression impact that of another who identifies differently?
  2. What does it take for one to willingly enter into a space of grace with others and self?
  3. Consider a time when you felt your own identify or expression wasn't honored or allowed to freely reveal?
By the end of the session, participants will
  • know what potential barriers to effective community cultivation can exist navigating circles of religious difference
  • identify personal steps they can take to help facilitate a space that others can enter into and stay at the table
  • learn of potential blind spots they may have when engaging in cross-cultural connections with people who identify differently in faith, theology or ideology
